My Background

As a qualified accountant, I worked in practice for several years before moving into industry. Over the past decade or so I have focussed on high potential start-ups, in which I have played key roles in financial control, raising finance and preparing companies for sale or venture capital. My experience in preparing a company for a trade sale began with Red Circle Technologies Limited, where I spent around five years in the early 2000’s. The company was founded in 1999 and its head office was based in Dun Laoghaire, with additional offices in the UK, Spain and the Philippines. The company provided mobile media content solutions including video, images, and music solutions to personalised mobile devices. Red Circle operated in Ireland, the UK, Australia, Spain and the US markets. I held a senior financial role with the company and played a key role in preparing the business for a successful international sale. Once the business was sold it provided me with a financial platform to join a small team of entrepreneurs who were setting up a new energy business around 2008.

PrePayPower

PrePayPower is a household name these days, with regular TV, press and radio advertisements.By early 2015 it had over 100,000 customers and growing. It is now the largest privately owned prepaid electricity company in Ireland. However, back in 2008 it was a different story. Ireland was in the eye of an economic storm and raising capital for a start-up was a serious challenge. I introduced the idea of raising money through loan notes, which we structured in such as way as to allow private pensions to lend to the company. It turned out to be a phenomenal success for the company, as we raised in excess of €1.8 million. It was a terrific success for the pension investors too; many of whom effectively doubled their original investment over a six year period. I am no longer involved with PrePayPower on a day-to-day basis, but I remain a shareholder. On the back of this success I have set up ASV Security Limited, in conjunction with a highly experienced team of professionals from within the private security sector.

ASV Security Limited

ASV Security is a private security company, which operates in Hyderabad, India. India is the world’s fastest growing major economy, with growth of 7% per annum expected for 2015 and 2016. Within India, the private security sector is growing 20% per annum, year on year. The market in Hyderabad has a growing demand for security services which can offer European standards, and this is where ASV Security has a significant competitive edge over its local rivals. The company began trading in Hyderabad in the spring of 2015 and it is clear from the market response that the commercial opportunity for the company is exceptional. In order to fund and grow our operations in Hyderabad we are offering very attractive rates on our loan notes. My confidence in the project is such that I am personally guaranteeing the loan notes, so logon to www.asvsecuity.ie and join us on the journey to success!

INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY

I am the promoter of ASV Security Limited, which began trading in Hyderabad in India in the spring of 2015. Trading as ASV Europa Security in India, we offer a comprehensive range of private security services. India currently has approximately 5.5 million security guards, employed by about 15,000 security companies. The security sector is now India’s largest corporate taxpayer, experiencing growth rates in excess of 20% per annum. In fact, some commentators believe that the sector could grow as much as 40% per annum. Experts compare the industry with that of the United States 40 years ago, where the average guard was undertrained and unsupervised. The potential for new entrants into the market is clear, especially for those capable of delivering a service of European standards. ASV Europa Security is just such a company and will offer a service superior to that of the majority of the current incumbents. ASV Europe Security has an experienced management team with an excellent track record in start-ups and the security sector. Supported with local connections at the highest levels, this is an opportunity that will have widespread appeal in Ireland. As the world’s largest democracy, India represents an unprecedented opportunity for private security operators. The current government is pro-business and they have embarked on a series of reforms which will make it easier to do business. Business is conducted in English and many international companies have chosen to locate there.

THE ASV SECURITY LIMITED LOAN NOTE

ASV Security Limited has issued loan notes in order to fund future growth and expansion. Operating a private security business is capital intensive, for example there are upfront payroll costs and capital outlays such as armoured vehicles and technology. However, it is also profitable and margins are strong, especially at the upstream end of the market where ASV Europa Security is positioned. These loan notes offer a fixed rate of return over three years. They are open to a wide range of private self-administered pensions including PRSAs, SSASs, Buy out Bonds, ARFs, AMRFs and SIPPs. They are also open to private and corporate monies. There is a full personal guarantee on these loan notes, both interest and capital. Clearly, terms and conditions apply so for full details logon to www.asvsecurity.ie or email us on investors@asvsecurity.ie for more information.
